POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Architectural Designer to join their growing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works on small to medium sized projects under the supervision of Project Manager or Project Architect
  • Develops working knowledge of local City and County codes and agencies, as well as uniform building codes
  • Assists in the preparation of construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details
  • Participates in all phases of project design and development (SD, DD, CD, CA)
  • Prepares design presentations, renderings, and visual materials for client meetings
  • Contributes to design development and problem-solving discussions
  • Coordinates with consultants and team members on technical aspects of projects
  • Attends project meetings and site visits as needed
  • Assists in preparation of specifications and material selections
  • Conducts research on building materials, systems, and design solutions
  • Reviews and redlines drawings for accuracy and compliance with project standards
  • Participates in design charrettes and collaborative design sessions
  • Develops technical proficiency in detailing and construction methods
  • Assists with project documentation and filing systems
  • Supports marketing efforts including preparation of graphics, project descriptions, and presentation materials
  • Demonstrates commitment to design excellence and quality standards
  • Manages time effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones
  • Maintains organized project files and documentation in accordance with firm standards
  • Participates in professional development opportunities and continuing education

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-5 years of professional experience
  • Professional architectural or design degree preferred
  • Proficient in CAD systems, preferably Revit.
  • Proficient in rendering and presentation software applications (Lumion, Enscape)
  • Able to work independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts
