Operations Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Position Classification: Full-Time Regular

We are looking for Architectural Designer II to join our design team. This role will support the design/build team through architectural drafting and rendering, assists with design development, collects field measurements and existing conditions, and participates in client and consultant meetings to review design concepts and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Assisting in meetings with clients to determine initial project parameters and requirements.
  • Assisting in meetings with project consultant to coordinate design elements and code requirements.
  • Assisting the project lead in managing the design project from concept development through project completion.
  • Prepare drawings, renderings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Review and understand project scope and contract for professional services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in architecture or related field.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team.
  • Must possess the ability to design, document and problem solve during construction.
  • Autodesk Revit software experience required.
  • Strong creative and visualization skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be organized.
  • Must possess the able ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, including strong skills in Excel, Work & Outlook.
  • Team member who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

Office

The work environment for this position is a typical office environment with occasional construction site visits. When in the office, the physical demands require the ability to sit for long periods of time. Intermittent movement, such as accessing centrally located office equipment, lifting of 35 lbs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing, may be necessary to perform the requirements of this position. Site visits may subject the individual to hazards commonly associated with construction.
