centered exclusively on private residential projects, from concept design through permit-ready
construction documents and built work. As a design-build company, our design team
coordinates closely with in-house estimators, operations staff, construction project managers,
and field supervisors to ensure clear documentation, accurate pricing, and efficient execution.
The studio operates in a fast-paced environment with defined schedules and deadlines. We
operate as a collaborative, fast-paced studio where designers are expected to contribute, learn
quickly, and take ownership of their work.
Position Summary The Junior Landscape Designer supports residential landscape projects in all phases of design
and documentation. This role is studio-based and production-oriented, with direct involvement in
AutoCAD drafting, 3D modeling, permit and coordination drawings, and pricing / construction
sets. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a landscape architecture or landscape
design studio and understands the pace, standards, and accountability of a professional design

Reporting Structure Reports to: Principal / Project Manager / Senior Designer
Core Responsibilities
● Assist with preparation of conceptual, schematic, and design development drawings for
residential projects.
● Produce AutoCAD-based plans, details, and coordination drawings under direction of
project lead.
● Develop permit submittal drawings and assist with jurisdictional coordination.
● Support preparation of pricing sets, quantity takeoffs, and construction documentation.
● Create SketchUp models and presentation graphics; assist with renderings as needed.
● Coordinate design information with in-house estimators, operations staff, and
construction project managers.
● Implement redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently within defined timelines.
● Maintain organized project files and adhere to studio standards.
● Communicate task status, questions, and constraints clearly and promptly to project
leads and internal teams.
● Assist with site documentation, field measurements, and occasional site visits.
Required Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
● Prior experience (internship or professional) in a landscape architecture or landscape
design studio.
● Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
● Working proficiency in SketchUp.
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
● Demonstrate experience in producing permit, coordination, or construction drawings.
● Ability to work efficiently in a studio environment, manage time, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)● Lumion (rendering experience appreciated but not required)
