Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer with strong hands-on skills in automating network operations, building scalable automation frameworks, and integrating network systems with enterprise workflows. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with Python, Ansible, network APIs, and multi-vendor network environments.

• Design, build, and deploy network automation solutions for configuration, provisioning, and validation.

• Develop automation pipelines for tasks such as device onboarding, compliance checks, policy enforcement, and network testing.

• Integrate network automation with enterprise systems using REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, gNMI, and microservices .

• Create and maintain playbooks, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code templates using Python and Ansible .

• Build automated workflows for large-scale networks across data centers, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Work with cloud platforms ( AWS / Azure / GCP ) to automate cloud networking and infrastructure provisioning.

• Collaborate with network engineering, DevOps, and platform teams to translate business and technical requirements into automated solutions.

• Monitor automation performance, logs, and system behavior; continuously improve scripts and pipelines.

• Ensure network reliability, security, compliance, and operational efficiency through automation-first practices.

• 7+ years overall IT experience with at least 3+ years focused on network automation .

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Python ( scripting, automation frameworks )

  • Ansible (playbooks, roles, templates)

  • Network APIs: REST, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI

• Solid understanding of networking:

  • Routing (BGP, OSPF)

  • Switching (VLANs, STP, VXLAN)

  • Firewalls, Load Balancers, ACLs

• Experience with integrating automation into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

• Strong experience with automation for Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto , or similar vendors.

• Proficiency with Git and version-controlled automation workflows.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and ability to work in cross-functional and remote environments.

• Experience with Terraform , Cisco NSO, or other IaC tools.

• Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, or Databricks for operational data automation.

• Experience building network observability pipelines or telemetry-based automation.

• Familiarity with healthcare / Anthem domain networking is a plus.

• Knowledge of RAG-like architectures for analyzing network logs or automating analytics (optional but beneficial).
